SEN Teaching Assistant – Wisbech – January 2025 Start (or Sooner)

A highly regarded SEMH/SEN school group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Wisbech site on a permanent basis from January 2025 (or sooner, depending on availability). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and inclusive environment, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH and other complex needs.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson planning, behaviour management, and academic support.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment to help students reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN/SEMH is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar) are desirable but not essential.
