This role involves providing one-on-one support to a pupil in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who has an EHCP and is diagnosed with Autism. Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to a young child with Autism. The role requires patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to help the child engage effectively in the classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• One-on-One Support: The SEN Teaching Assistant will offer individualised assistance to the EYFS pupil with Autism, ensuring they are fully supported throughout their daily activities and routines.
• Behavioural Support: Implementing and following behaviour management strategies to help the pupil develop positive social interactions and stay focused during class.
• Learning Adaptation: Assisting in adapting learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of the pupil, ensuring they can participate and learn effectively.
• Collaborative Work: Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff members to create and implement an effective learning and support plan for the child.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and assess the pupil's progress, adjusting strategies as needed and communicating developments to the teaching team.
