Our client secondary school is looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them following the October half term to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This small secondary school located in the heart of Trafford is a highly supportive school and given it’s small nature, has a family run feel to it.
The role of the SEN Teaching Assistant will be to support students in mainstream classes who have a variety of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD and general behavioural support. Building a relationship with the students at this school Is of paramount importance for the successfully appointed SEN Teaching Assistant. There will also be the opportunity to work with specifically identified students in small groups and on a one-to-one basis depending upon the candidate’s particular strengths and experience. This school is located in the heart of Trafford making it very easy to access via public transport. The school is a short walk from the local train station as well as being serviced by the metrolink tram line regularly. The school has a small on site car park and being set in a residential area, has plenty of on/off road parking available.
The school has a small inclusion unit within the school headed up by the school SENCO who the successfully appointed SEN Teaching Assistant will report to. There are a number of other TAs working at the school with the chance to collaborate and work closely within the team. Any experience of supporting young people with SEN is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
