SEN Teaching Assistant required - Full time - Heston, Hounslow.
Teaching Personnel works with a number of schools to provide specialist staff to schools with high SEN requirements, we are currently recruiting for a full time SEN TA to to work closely with a student with complex speech, language and communication difficulties and autism. This is a permanent position working on a one to one basis with the student, who is currently based within a year 4 class.
This role will consist of working with the SENCO, class teacher and parents/carers to devise and deliver an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) to help the student develop. As you will be working with a student with complex needs you will need to help support them in a number of different ways alongside their education, including personal development in areas such as communicating and building relationships with other students and staff.
We are looking for someone who is experienced supporting students with a variety of needs, the main area that you will focus on is building a strong relationship with the student to help understand and develop in all areas. This school is located in Heston, Hounslow. It is easily accessible by car and public transport with a large carpark and local train and bus services.
- Experienced working with students with special educational needs
- Confident working with behavioural issues
- Able to adapt and take constructive feedback to help perfect the approach to this student's ability
- Confident working with third party workers including speech therapists
