Starting in September, a smaller than average mainstream secondary school located in Bolton are seeking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time temporary basis.

The SENCO and pastoral team are looking for a passionate, patient and dynamic individual for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant  who can support a group of identified pupils aged 11-16 with mild to moderate SEN including; Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. The pupils will require extra support with lesson engagement, reading/writing and understanding the current scheme of work which the school will advise you on.

Highlights of the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Starting September 2020 - likely to be required until July 2021.
  • Earning up to £1300 a month.
  • Delivering tailored learning activities to a group of identified pupils with a range of SEN.
  • Working at a supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bolton, just off the M61, close to Farnworth.
  • Previous experience with SEN and young people is very desirable.
  • Exclusive access to a range of CPD courses including; SEND sessions, Autism Awareness and more.

The school has been praised for its' inclusive approach to education, and the successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be required to monitor and track progress of students with SEN that are supported. Located in Bolton, the school can easily be reached via the M61 motorway. For non-drivers there are a number of public transport links that lead to the school from Salford and Bury.
