Are you a qualified Teacher with QTS? Do you have previous experience or a desire to work with SEN pupils? We have just the role for you!
Our inclusive partner school are currently seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher, to start work ASAP or in summer term. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in SEN schools, preferably with students who display challenging behaviour. We would also love to hear from you if you have personal experience with SEN.
A rewarding role with great rates of pay and the opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and development of Special Education Needs pupils, you will provide accessible lessons to your students aged between 6 and 16 years. Encouraging Social, Emotional and Behavioural development is paramount and you will be expected to review this regularly. When planning lessons, you will ensure that class activites are stimulating in order for pupils to remain engaged in their learning and reach their full potential.
The school itself caters for pupils with specific learning difficulties, that are communication-related such as Dyselxia. Pupils within the school will also experience difficulties such as high anxiety, autism and mental health. Each classroom features different learning environments for alternative ways of learning supported by unique educational pathways tailored to each individual. These are created to ensure each student's needs and learning requirements are met. Teachers are supported by a multi-disciplinary team which includes: a psychologist, an occupational therapist and therapeutic practitioners.
