SEN Teacher Suitable to NQT

Academics are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Colchester, rated "Good" by Ofsted, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their welcoming team on a maternity cover contract from April 2026.

• Location: SEN School in Colchester

• Start Date: April 2026 - Permanent role

• Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, Permanent

• Salary: M2-UPS3 (dependent on experience) + SEN allowance

• Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 pupils with autism and complex needs

• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that supports pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure consistent and holistic provision

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience in SEN, particularly ASD and complex needs

• Have experience supporting pupils with autism or learning disabilities, ideally within a KS2 or primary setting
