SEN Teacher – Award-Winning SEN School Group – Reading

An award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team at their Reading site. The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. Working within a well-resourced and specialist setting, the SEN Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that cater to individual learning needs
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff
• Develop and implement EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
• Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
• Support students in developing key life skills alongside academic progress

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with complex needs, ASD, or communication difficulties
• A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, interventions, and behaviour management techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching
