Position Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will work with students with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities, including autism, ADHD, and physical impairments. You will deliver personalized lessons, using creative teaching strategies to ensure that all students reach their full potential in both academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure that learning objectives are tailored to each student.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel confident and valued.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and external professionals, maintaining regular communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN education and implement best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of various SEN conditions and appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
