Teaching Personnel have a unique opportunity to become part of a team who support young people at risk of exclusion from school. You will deliver a bespoke package of learning to individual students, designed to re-integrate students back into mainstream classrooms before alternative measures need to be taken.

I am looking for two support workers who are confident in managing challenging behaviour; confident in connecting with young people who come from disadvantaged and sometimes traumatic backgrounds; confident in helping young people to turn their lives around for the better.

  • You will work within a team of highly skilled professionals, all working together to help children to achieve their potential
  • You will receive a work phone for communication
  • You will support one student in one school in the mornings and a different student in a different school in the afternoons (work hours are within school hours, term time only) and you will be given a rota on a weekly basis
  • You will be given all resources and materials to deliver – there will be no preparation or planning required
  • You will start as an agency worker, however you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role during the summer term of 2021

Ideal previous experience includes: teaching, teaching assistant, youth worker or outreach worker, sports coach, residential support worker, mentor, tutor, behaviour management, counselling or similar.
