Are you motivated by the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people with complex and varied needs? Do you enjoy a role that is both challenging and highly rewarding, where no two days are the same? If so, this role may be an excellent fit for you.
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed SEN Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bridgend. This forward-thinking provision supports pupils aged 3-19 with a broad range of Additional Learning Needs, including autism spectrum conditions, communication and learning difficulties, and physical or medical needs. The school also incorporates a dedicated Autism Centre for children and young people with autism and associated communication and learning challenges.
With small class sizes and high levels of staff support, you will be able to provide focused, individualised assistance, helping pupils access learning, build independence, and reach their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to students' lives on a daily basis.
Here, flexibility and resilience aren't just helpful… they're essential. You may move between different classrooms, age groups, and needs throughout the week, adapting your approach to ensure every learner receives the right support at the right moment. If you love a challenge and enjoy being part of a nurturing, forward-thinking team, you'll fit right in!
