SEN Support Assistant
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified teaching assistant with experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs. An Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school in Leyland is in the process of recruiting for a one-to-one support/ general teaching assistant role in their Year 4 class to start September 2020.
The role is full-time (09:00-15:30, Mon-Fri), providing one-to-one support to a child within class with ADHD. More specifically, the child requires additional support with accessing the Year 4 curriculum and maintaining engagement during lesson times. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out the role of general teaching assistant, working alongside the Class Teacher and providing support to other pupils across the class where necessary.
The school is larger than average and is located in Leyland Pupils who attend the school arrive from mixed social backgrounds, with a high proportion identified as being eligible for the Pupil Premium funding. Pupil behaviour is good – they have positive attitudes to school and are typically courteous and respectful; in lessons they are keen and eager to learn and cooperate well with their teachers and with each other.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
