SEN Class Teacher New

One of our partner schools caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged between 2 and 19 years who may have singular or multiple difficulties. The school enjoys a very good relationship with parents, families, associated professionals and the local community. Salary: UPS1 £48,913 - UPS3 £52,490 (plus min SEN point £2)
Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, in line with the national curriculum and school schemes of work.
• Take responsibility for the long, medium, and short-term planning for your class, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and appropriately differentiated.
• Ensure the majority of pupils make expected progress, with some exceeding expectations.
• Consistently deliver good lessons, with some judged to be outstanding.
• Celebrate pupils’ achievements through displays and recognition, fostering pride and motivation.
• Lead on a subject area of the National Curriculum, as agreed with the Headteacher.

Qualifications:

• QTS
• At least 6 years of teaching experience in a similar setting with PMLD and SLD pupils.
• High standard of written and oral communication
• Full DBS (or willingness to apply) 

Teaching & Learning:

• Willingness to lead extra-curricular activities after school and assistance in after-school events
• Experience of leading and mentoring staff
• Genuine passion and a belief in the potential of every pupil
• Understands of the needs of children (Specialism in SEN is highly valued)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
