SEMH Tutor

Teaching Personnel

£20 - 30 per hour


Temporary | Full Time



Teaching Personnel are recruiting for tutors in the North Oxford area to support students with Attachment Disorder, PDA and Childhood Trauma. Due to their SEMH, the students are unable to attend school, and therefore the 1:1 tuition will occur in the care home. Students are working at below their age-expected level and requires additional emotional support.

About the Role:

  • 1:1 Tuition with SEMH students
  • Part time and Full time
  • In person, in the student’s care home
  • Working materials and resources will need to be provided by the tutor
  • Focus on cross-curricular academic work, and providing additional emotional support

Who we are looking for:

  • People who are comfortable lone working and communicating with local authorities and care home staff
  • Previous experience working with LAC students and students with Attachment Disorder, PDA and Childhood Trauma
  • Tutors who can plan, produce, and teach cross-curricular lessons at KS4 level, as well as providing emotional support
  • Experience of teaching and working with children with SEMH
  • Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
