Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident, proactive, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary provision in Failsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, rewarding environment and is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

This specialist setting supports pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on creating a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment where students can rebuild confidence, re-engage with their education, and achieve meaningful personal and academic progress.
Staff work closely together to provide consistency, build positive relationships, and ensure every pupil has the stability they need to succeed.
The Role
This is a hands-on and highly active role, ideal for someone who is confident using their initiative and responding to challenges in real time.
You’ll support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom—helping them manage behaviour, stay engaged, and develop positive routines throughout the day.
No two days are the same, so adaptability, resilience, and a calm approach are key.
