SEMH Teaching Assistant

Rikama Education are working with a specialist school based in Margate who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

The school caters for students across KS2 - KS4 who have SEMH and/or ASC.

The children and young people have high levels of social emotional issues and communication difficulties, you will need to be able to build positive relationships with them and provide a diverse and stimulating education, in a supportive and safe environment.

This can be a challenging position, so the ideal candidate will need to have strong behaviour management skills as well as having a calm and caring manner.

The hours are 8:30 - 3:30, Monday - Friday. Term time only. This is a long term supply position and for the right candidate a permanent position may be offered.

The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
