I'm currently recruiting for an OFSTED rated Outstanding School on the border of Essex and Redbridge, looking for outstanding SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school provides residential placements from Monday to Friday for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Some pupils may have secondary needs including difficulties with their communication and learning. Alongside the teaching team, a therapy team work closely to with students to identify any additional needs and to implement strategies to overcome barriers. The school values partnerships with parents and carers that are based on honesty, trust and mutual respect with the purpose of supporting the academic, vocational, personal and emotional development of pupils.
This role would suit an SEMH Teaching Assistant wanting to pursue careers in education, counselling, therapy and mental health pathways. The school have a range of highly experienced and well trained teaching and non-teaching staff on the team that you will work alongside, this includes therapy staff and a child psychotherapist.
