Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, long-term

We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Bolton, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a long-term opportunity within a structured and supportive environment, where pupils require consistency, clear boundaries and strong relationship-building in order to engage with learning.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible lessons to pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning, including behavioural challenges and disengagement from education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining a structured classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional development and engagement with learning
  • Differentiating work to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Working closely with support staff and pastoral teams
  • Tracking progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience working with SEMH, behaviour or alternative provision settings
  • Be confident managing behaviour and de-escalating situations
  • Be resilient, patient and consistent in your approach
  • Be available full time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
