SEMH Secondary Teacher
We are recruiting a dedicated and resilient SEMH Secondary Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting where young people are given the structure, care and consistency they need to succeed. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a real difference for pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education and need a more personalised approach.
The school is located in South Manchster and supports pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, which may include challenging behaviour, anxiety, trauma and attachment needs, emotional regulation difficulties, low self-esteem and difficulties building positive relationships. Many pupils benefit from clear routines, predictable boundaries and a calm, trauma-informed approach that helps them feel safe and ready to learn.
You will work as part of a skilled and collaborative team, alongside teaching assistants, behaviour mentors, pastoral staff, SENCOs and external professionals with access to facilities such as small class sizes, intervention spaces, regulation rooms and therapeutic support to help pupils manage emotions and engage positively in education.
