An ambitious and supportive secondary school in Dorchester, Dorset, is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their vibrant Science department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop their career in a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire curiosity, critical thinking and scientific enquiry
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor student progress and plan targeted support
  • Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes achievement for all

You will be:

  • A qualified Science Teacher with QTS (or a trainee/ECT close to completion)
  • Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4 (any specialism welcome)
  • A strong communicator with secure subject knowledge
  • Someone who sets high expectations and engages students effectively
  • A reflective practitioner who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Able to build positive relationships with learners of all abilities
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Ability to teach KS3 & KS4
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
