Job Vacancy: Full-Time Science Teacher (SEMH Specialist School)

Start Date: Easter 2025
Contract: Temporary (until the end of the academic year)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students? Our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Specialist School in Christchurch is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science to students across KS2, KS3, and KS4 (ages 6-16)
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH
• Create a positive, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally
• Collaborate with a supportive team of staff to provide a holistic approach to learning
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential

About You:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a background in Science (preferred)
• Experience teaching Science at KS2, KS3, and KS4
• Passionate about supporting students with SEMH and a strong commitment to inclusive education
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
