Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school located just outside of Stockport, who are seeking an experienced and organised School Business Manager to join their leadership and operations team from June.

This is a key role within the school, responsible for ensuring the effective management of finances, resources, and support services to enable the school to operate efficiently and deliver high-quality education.

The Role

• Lead on financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure
• Oversee the school’s administrative, HR, and operational functions
• Manage facilities, contracts, and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements
• Support the Senior Leadership Team with strategic planning and decision-making
• Line manage support staff and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in a school business management, finance, or operational role
• Strong financial acumen and organisational skills
• Knowledge of school systems, processes, and compliance requirements (desirable)
• Effective leadership and people management skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
