A specialist residential education setting in Wiltshire is seeking a compassionate and resilient Residential Child Care Assistant to join its dedicated pastoral team from September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate.
This rewarding position supports children and young people aged 8–19 with additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, and experiences linked to trauma.
The successful applicant will help create a calm, structured and nurturing residential environment where pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to thrive.
Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will support evening routines, emotional wellbeing, independence skills, social development and positive behaviour approaches.

Candidates with experience supporting children or adults with SEND, care needs or behavioural needs are welcomed, although full training and ongoing guidance will be provided. A Level 3 qualification in Residential Care or willingness to work towards one is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
