Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in Primary or Secondary SEND schools? This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, counsellors, therapists, and speech & language therapists to build essential skills within a supportive and nurturing school setting.

The Role

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, term-time only – no weekend work!
• Supporting pupils with learning difficulties and additional needs in the classroom.
• Helping students access learning, follow routines, and develop social skills.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.
• Providing consistent support as a trusted adult throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons and delivering targeted interventions.
• Assisting pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
• Offering pastoral support to ensure students feel safe, valued, and motivated.
• Planning and implementing tailored strategies for students with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH needs.
• Liaising with teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals to monitor progress and wellbeing.

Who We’re Looking For

• Psychology graduates (or related disciplines) with a strong interest in SEND.
• Individuals considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or counselling.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service- or willingness to apply!
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient professionals with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential- the passion is what we look for!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
