Psychology Graduate – Tameside

This partner school are currently recruiting for a recent psychology graduate that would be looking for work with SEN students and focusing on working with both ASD/ASC students, this would also be working with SEMH students (Mental Health). Due to Covid and recent lockdowns we have found that a lot of schools have seen an increase in SEMH students therefore needing an increase of support staff. 

These students have previously been identified by the school for having particular SEN need. This will therefore be working alongside an experienced SENCO and SEN team. You will be both an assistant and support for any reading, spelling and comprehension tasks. 

Main Aspects of the Job:

  • Help with in class tasks to assist those in and around those schools.
  • Ability of working well under pressure with the ability of overcoming any diversity for different situations and scenarios.
  • Working alongside children who often find themselves in need of more support that there peers. (Mainly working with SEMH and ASC students.)
  • Producing resources of those who may be more in need of additional support, both in small groups and 1:1 support.

School is situated close to the Hyde area of Tameside, with great public transport links situated very close to the school alongside the accessibility for car drivers with both the M60 and M56 running close by and a large car park on the property. The school is set in very pleasant surroundings boasting fantastic facilities within the local area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
