Are you keen to work in an environment where you can make a difference in the classroom? Teaching personnel works with a dedicated Primary SEN school in the South of Bristol who make everyday special in the classroom.
The successful teaching assistant does not need to have previous experience in the classroom, is bubbly, passionate about working with children with autism and loves to play!
This is the perfect opportunity for those thinking about teaching and want to see what it may be like, or for those who have assisted in a primary classroom before and want to connect with children 1:1 as the classroom sizes are no bigger than 10 children, compared to mainstream sizes where you may feel that connection and ability to make a difference to a child’s learning is lost.
The role is to begins in September, with the potential for it to be extended into January. We are looking for a full time TA but can work with what fits your schedule.
About the position:
- No prior teaching qualifications/ experience needed
- Monday- Friday (08:00-3:00) term time only. Work fits into your life creating a healthy work/life balance
- £84/ day paid weekly, onsite parking and accessible bus routes

The successful candidate will:
- Be confident and proactive working with challenging behaviour
- Enjoy play with young children and are interactive and have a good sense of humour
- Look forward to making every day exciting in the classroom and making a safe space for the students.
- Be reliable and flexible working with different classes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
