Role: PPA cover teacher
Duration: 3 days per week, long term
Start date: January 2025
Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a primary school based in Erdington for a PPA cover Teacher.
What does the role include?
- Covering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a two-form entry primary school.
- Ensuring lessons are delivered effectively and all children are engaged.
- Managing classroom and student behaviour.
- Leaving a clear and effective handover for the class teachers return.
- Marking completed work throughout the lessons.
- Adapting to different year groups throughout the day.
Are you suitable for this role?
- You must hold a valid QTS qualification and experience as a primary school class teacher.
- You require to have strong, clear communication skills.
- You should be able to adapt and teach across a primary school setting.
- Good behaviour management skills are also preferred.
