With COVID-19 forcing schools to close, the need for teachers in preparation for the new academic year is essential. Given such an uncertain circumstances, Teaching Personnel are working closely with schools to ensure we meet their staffing needs for September,

An opportunity has arisen at a school in Cheshire East, for an experienced Physics teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. The role will commence after the Easter break, and will run through until the end of the academic year. It is crucial that the applicant will:

  • Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
  • Be educated to degree level (preferably in Physics or a related subject)
  • Have delivered high quality Physics lessons within a secondary school previously, up to GCSE level as a minimum.
  • Experience teaching A-Level Physics is highly advantageous.

Owing to the often complex nature of the subject, it is crucial that the applicant will be able to:

  • Work to deliver the school’s curriculum, as well as being able offer alternative provision for those requiring additional support.
  • Cater for the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.
  • Working with support staff to deliver interventions when necessary, as well as identifying those who will require additional help within the subject.

The required applicant will be able to:

  • Understand the common difficulties encountered by students within the subject, and be able to quickly find solutions to any problems faced by pupils. 
  • Manage day to day school factors (attendance, exam preparation, pastoral issues)
  • Deliver feedback to subject leaders, senior leaders and parents whenever necessary.
  • Work in collaboration with support staff, to ensure that work and homework has been differentiated effectively.
  • Make lessons engaging for pupils to ensure that they remain focused throughout, as well as homework tasks that allow pupils to think independently about relevant curriculum.
  • Be able to work with students on both a 1:1, as well as group basis, to ensure that alternative learning methods are implemented.
  • Pay - £24,373 - £40,490 annually, based on prior experience.
