As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to apply formulas, understand processes, and solve problems through structured teaching and clear explanation.
Key responsibilities
Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4
Explain concepts such as forces, energy, and electricity clearly
Support students with calculations and problem-solving
Reinforce key vocabulary and formulas
Prepare students for GCSE exams
Track progress and address misconceptions
Maintain structured and focused lessons
The classroom environment
Lessons are clear and sequential
Students follow methods step by step
Behaviour is calm and controlled
Learning is consistent
Skills and experience
Strong Physics subject knowledge
Experience teaching secondary preferred
Clear explanation skills
Strong classroom management
What success looks like
Students apply knowledge confidently

Greater understanding of key concepts
QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with Physics, engineering, or technical backgrounds
