Salary: £22,254.36 to £24,097.97

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Coordinator to join a thriving secondary academy in Witham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs, behaviour challenges, and trauma related barriers to learning.

The Role
As a Pastoral Coordinator, you will:
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and personal development
- Provide trauma informed support and targeted SEMH interventions
- Build strong and positive relationships with students
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Monitor attendance, behaviour and wellbeing data
- Work closely with families, safeguarding teams and external agencies
- Promote safeguarding and ensure student welfare is prioritised at all times
- Encourage positive engagement with education and school life
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Has knowledge or experience of SEMH and trauma informed practice
- Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure
- Has strong communication and relationship building skills
- Is passionate about supporting vulnerable students
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is committed to helping students achieve their full potential
