About the role
This role is a full time role, working specifically in the EYFS department of the school. You will work closely with the Teacher and offer them support as well as assisting small groups of students. You will be offering fun and interactive methods of learning and encouraging social development before they head off into their next year group. Tapestry is likely to be used and so experience of this is beneficial. As extra responsibility, you may be supervising the children during break and lunchtimes, both in the dining room and playground.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates with a range of experience. School based and SEN experience is highly appreciated but other relevant experience is looked at also. A Level 2 or above child-care related qualification is advantageous but as mentioned, there are courses that can be offered at a discounted rate. You must have a child-only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through us. We are also welcoming core subject graduates to apply for these roles to offer additional intervention support. We are looking for somebody who has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be able to support children with additional needs. A ‘can do’ attitude to all aspects of academic life is needed and it’s important to offer good communication.
