Position: Modern Foreign Languages Teacher

Location: Pontefract 

Start Date: September 

Suitable for NQTs: Yes

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The Role:

On behalf of a Secondary school in Pontefract we are looking to appoint a dedicated, ambitious and inspirational Modern Foreign Languages Teacher with teaching experience in Spanish and/or French. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. The Secondary School is based in WF8 was rated 'Good' by Ofsted. 

Requirements for this role:

  • PGCE or recognised UK teaching qualification
  • QTS or working towards
  • Relevant degree level qualification
  • Experience teaching in a classroom environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Creative lesson planning and implementing schemes of work with effective delivery
  • Full marking responsibilities
  • Able to use a variety of teaching methods to maintain motivation
  • Able to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
  • Pro-actively demonstrating the schools’ values amongst pupils and learning
  • Promote positive behaviour amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies such as dress code
  • Working collaboratively with the department and liaising with the head of department

To work in schools an enhanced, child only DBS on the update service is required. Do not worry if you do not have one we can support through the process!
