Teaching Personnel is the sole external provider to a Special Needs School in Hull, currently looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant, to work with a young student with a diagnosis of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). About the School:

  • An inclusive Special Needs School for pupils aged 2 to 16 years old, with a range of complex learning needs
  • They have a holistic approach to teaching, focusing on the development of each student as an individual
  • Teach through a creative and person-centred curriculum to achieve the best outcomes for each student
  • School day is 0900-1500 with regular staff briefings and meetings

About the Job:

  • 2:1 support position working alongside another teaching assistant, to support a secondary aged pupil with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • The role would be full days on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, on an on-going supply basis
  • As the ideal candidate, you must have had significant hands-on experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour, linked to additional needs
  • Hourly pay starting at GBP10*, paid every Friday through PAYE, meaning no Umbrella company costs!
