Working with a number of primary and secondary alternative provisions across West Yorkshire I am currently looking for a maths tutor to help raise attainment and bridge the gap in students learning ahead of schools return in September.
You will be required to work via online learning platforms meaning you must have an engaing teaching style and be confident on video calls with students and their parents/carers. You may also be required to visit students homes or care homes to provide face to face tuition, providing social distancing measures can be met throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The students you will be working with are unable to attend mainstream schools due to a variety of reasons including, social, emotional, metal health needs and safety concerns.
The ideal candiate and responsibilities of the role:
The successful Maths Intervention Tutor will be able to motivate pupils to succeed and provide a well-structured learning environment. You will be supporting students across KS2, KS3 and GCSE Maths to bridge the gap in learning due to the pandemic. You will work collaboratively with the Maths department to devise schemes of work and identify groups of students who require additional support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
