Are you a Maths specialist seeking the opportunity to join a welcoming secondary school?

If so there is an exciting opportunity for a part time Maths teacher to work within a highly successful department, commencing from September 2020. This is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to secure a permanent contract future.

  • Part time (0.6) Maths teacher, required from September 2020.
  • Opportunity to work within a welcoming secondary school
  • Teaching Maths up to KS4 Level.
  • Pay in line with MPS/IPS £24, 373 - £40, 490, pro-rata.

Located at the heart of Salford, the school currently serves just over 700 pupils aged 11 – 16. The Maths department is highly successful and pupils achieve well in line with national averages at GCSE. The department boasts access to several state of the art laboratories all fully equipped with modern resources based within newly refurbished facilities.

Roles and responsibilities include;

  • Ensure all individual lessons are planned and prepared adequately including the appropriate use of relevant resources.
  • Adopt a forward thinking approach and plan lessons in line with Schemes of Work, in accordance with the new curriculum (1-9).
  • Mark class work for pupils in order to track and monitor progression and understanding.
