Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Maths & English Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to students in and around Stockton-on-Tees.

As a Maths & English Tutor, you'll deliver personalised lessons that help students improve their knowledge, confidence, and academic performance. Every learner is different, so you'll tailor your teaching approach to suit individual needs and learning styles.

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one Maths and English tuition.

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet each student's learning goals.

  • Support students in closing learning gaps and building confidence.

  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records.

  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals where appropriate.

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, motivating, and flexible approach.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, or educational experience.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent.

  • Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or those requiring alternative education.

  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE or Primary expectations.
