Learning Support Assistant

Location: Carmarthenshire

Hours: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: £13.75 per hour

About The Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Welsh-Medium schools across Carmarthenshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people in their learning, development, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN, behavioural, social, or emotional needs
• Help create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Follow school policies and work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals

About You

• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children and young people
• Comfortable working in both mainstream and SEN school settings
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
• A willingness to learn and adapt to different educational environments
