Learning Support Assistant

We have an exciting new opportunity at a school in Wickford for a Learning Support Assistant to specifically support children with Special Educational Needs. If you have any experience within the following then please send your CV over:

This School specialises within children who have Special Educational Needs. The majority of the needs are cognitive therefore the students may be working at a lower age learning ability. All pupils have an EHC plan in place in which you will be required to refer to when working with the students. It offers equal opportunities for all students ensuring every child is receiving the best education possible.

Your job role will be to support the special needs pupils both 1:1 and within small groups. The pupils may show challenging behaviour in which you will be required to support. This particular school provides students with a personalised approach to learning therefore, you must ensure you are aware of the individual needs of the child you are working with and support them knowingly. It is important to always increase the child’s independence as well as their confidence within their learning.

The pay rate is £10.00 an hour and the working hours are 8:30-16.00 Monday to Friday.
