Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an educational support assistant to work with primary students within a maintained special needs school that caters specifically for students with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. Some students within this class may also have Autism and other associated learning difficulties.
The role will be supporting students in class, helping them to access the primary curriculum, as well as particularly focusing on the development of their speech and language needs. As many students will be working below expectations, someone with a patient, caring and empathetic personality will be required to support students through their studies. You may also be asked to support children on a 1:1 basis with activities set by the class teacher or the school speech and language therapist to assist with their development. People with experience in a similar setting are encouraged to apply, however the school are happy to accept applications from people who are looking to get in to this area of work.
This position will require someone who is able to work full time (Monday-Friday), 8:30am-3:30pm during term time only and starting in September.
If you are interested in applying for this position or finding out more information, please contact me on 0118 327 1595 or send your CV over to me.
