KS1 Teaching Assistant Darlington

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child's life? Do you have a warm, patient and nurturing approach to learning? We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 pupil who needs a little extra support to shine.

You will work closely with a KS1 child on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and enjoy their learning journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to build a strong, trusting relationship and make a lasting impact.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Supporting learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

• Helping the child to develop independence and confidence

• Using strategies to manage behaviour in a calm and positive way

• Monitoring progress and feeding back to the team

• Creating a safe and engaging learning environment

• A nurturing, positive and patient individual

• Previous experience working with children (school-based or other)

• A good understanding of early learning and child development

• A flexible and proactive attitude

• (Desirable) Experience supporting children with additional needs

• Someone who has L2/L3 qualification in education or health and social

• A friendly, collaborative and supportive team
