The challenge is helping them understand it properly.

As a Secondary ICT Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how digital systems work, how to apply skills effectively, and how to complete tasks with structure and accuracy.

Key responsibilities
Teach ICT across KS3 and KS4
Deliver lessons covering digital skills and concepts
Support students in completing tasks independently
Reinforce structured approaches to learning
Prepare students for coursework and exams
Track progress and provide feedback
Maintain focused and organised lessons

The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and clear
Students understand instructions
Work is completed step by step
Behaviour is consistent

Skills and experience
Experience teaching ICT or strong technical background
Clear communication skills
Strong organisation
Classroom management ability

What success looks like
Students complete work independently
Confidence grows in using technology
Tasks are finished accurately

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with IT, computing, or technical backgrounds
