We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced History Teacher to join a secondary school in Bath as soon as possible. This opportunity can begin as flexible day-to-day work, with the potential to transition into a full-time position continuing until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed educator to join a supportive Humanities department and make a meaningful impact on students' progress and achievement.

This is a full teaching role, including planning and marking responsibilities once in a full-time post. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).

You will be responsible for creating an inspiring and inclusive learning environment, encouraging curiosity about the past while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and academic success. Strong classroom management skills are essential.

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Prepare schemes of work and engaging lesson resources

• Mark and assess student work, providing clear and constructive feedback

• Track and monitor student progress

• Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities

• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and routines

• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Experience with planning and marking responsibilities

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
