A large secondary School in the Bury area are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their team

An exciting opportunity has become available at one of our client secondary schools in the Bury area, for a HLTA to work with pupils who have SEMH, Sensory needs or Communication needs. This HLTA/Pastoral position will involve supporting identified pupils with daily school life alongside their academic studies. You will be working alongside senior teachers including the SENCO to implement interventions to improve behaviour and promote inclusion of all pupils throughout school.

Job criteria

  • Full time HLTA
  • Role available from January 2022.
  • Secondary school based in the Bury area
  • Working with identified pupils with SEN including ADHD, ASC and SEMH.
  • Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on your previous experience.
  • Access to multiple CPD training courses from partner schools

The successful HLTA must have previous experience working with young people who have SEN or have a strong understanding of how to support specific SEN.

Our client school is based in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to areas such as Rochdale, Prestwich and Radcliffe.
