Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (TLR 2B)

Are you a passionate and experienced Maths educator ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Mathematics to lead a successful department at a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape curriculum delivery, raise academic standards, and inspire both students and colleagues.

The Role:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Mathematics department across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Drive excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and student outcomes

• Support, coach, and develop a team of committed Maths teachers to promote high-quality, collaborative practice

• Use data effectively to monitor progress, identify trends, and implement targeted interventions

• Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and whole-school numeracy initiatives

• Contribute to the wider school leadership team and play a key role in driving school improvement

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record of delivering excellent Maths teaching

• Experience in middle leadership, or a readiness to step into a leadership role

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum

• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and professional development
