Location: Mainstream Secondary School – Blackburn, Lancashire
Start Date: Monday 13th April
Contract: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Essential Requirement: Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Are you an organised, enthusiastic individual with a passion for food, practical learning, and supporting young people in the classroom?

A welcoming and thriving mainstream secondary school in Blackburn is looking for a committed Food Technology Technician to join their team from Monday 13th April. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, preparing resources, and helping create a safe and inspiring environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Food Technology department with lesson preparation
• Ensuring all equipment, ingredients, and resources are ready for practical sessions
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the food rooms
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and organising storage areas
• Assisting students and teaching staff during practical lessons
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations

Requirements:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate – essential
• Previous experience in a school or catering environment is beneficial
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced practical setting
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and confident supporting students and staff
