EYFS Assistant

Teaching Personnel

£65 - 85 per day

Are you knowledgeable in supporting lower key stages as a teaching assistant? Are you familiar with Primary School environments? Do you hold experience in Early Years or Foundation Stages such as Nursery or Reception? If so and you are looking for a new role this September, Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you!

One of our client schools has asked us to find a Teaching Assistant to work in their EYFS provision starting ASAP!


A rural school located not far from York with easy access by car and ample parking on site, they are looking to bring aboard a dynamic and capable member of support staff to join their  friendly and encouraging team. A small school with three classes of mixed year groups, you will be placed in their EYFS group with a medium number of pupils across FS1 and FS2. You duties will mainly to support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS framework. 

As the Nursery/Reception Class Assistant you will engage the children in daily activities that will strengthen progression and monitor progress, and as a result plan your next day with a view to pushing their development in line with expectations and abilities. Basic behaviour management skills will be required to maintain an effective environment. Using your caring, loving and passionate approach, you will provide  children with a safe and happy place in which to explore their own abilities, feeling included and valued along the way.


Be ready to have an innovative approach to childhood development, allow children to be free to explore their boundaries and perceptions, follow their imagination wherever that may lead and guide that imagination toward beneficial learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
