It has been announced that the Government will provide a £1 billion fund to support children to bridge the gap in lost attainment through the period of schools closures.
Pupils will have suffered dramatically over recent months not only with their attainment levels, but also in an emotional and social capacity too. Schools now have the opportunity and funding to provide external specialist support that will ease the transition of pupils returning to school and get them back to where they should be.
Because of this, we are seeking English tutors to work with some of the most vulnerable students, now and in September. We are looking for applicants who have proven experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills English.
We have provisions across Dorset with pupils who still require additional educational support during these partial schools closures and will continue to need support whilst transitioning back to school. You could be supporting students that have an EHCP due to social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) or special education needs (SEN) as well as looked after children.
Some sessions will take place in person whilst others will take place through our sister companies online learning platform. Unlike many online collaboration tools, Bramble was built specifically for education. We encourage you to have a look at the Bramble website and see the many benefits for you as the tutor to utilise a platform which has been specifically designed for you!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
