Join a popular, oversubscribed secondary school located in North/Central Surrey, seeking to appoint a highly motivated English teacher from September 2020. Applications encouraged from Newly Qualified and experienced English teachers looking to secure a long term position in the new academic year. 

The successful English teacher will join the schools thriving department in September and will take responsibility of delivering KS3 and GCSE English across years 7 – 11. They will be responsible for the preparation and planning of schemes of work and the delivery of engaging lessons to mixed ability groups.  

We are looking for an English teacher who will: 

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils 
  • Promote good progress and outcomes 
  • Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge 
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons across years 7 – 11 
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils 
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment  

This popular secondary school has over 600 pupils on roll and welcomes students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. It is highly reputable in the area for it’s academic success and consistently receives good/outstanding Ofsted reports. The school is situated in North Surrey, just a short drive from the city centre and M25.
