A warm and inclusive Primary School in Blackburn is seeking to appoint a committed and nurturing Early Years Educator to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, fixed-term position offers the potential to become permanent and provides an excellent opportunity to support young children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a highly supportive environment.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting the development of children aged 3-5 in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Working closely with room leaders and other practitioners, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, communication, and personal growth.

This role is perfect for someone with proven experience in the early years sector, holding a Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare, and confident in using observation and assessment to plan effectively for children's individual needs.

• Support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS
• Deliver planned activities and contribute to child-led learning opportunities
• Use observations and assessments to inform next steps and record progress
• Promote children's physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
• Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive behaviour through play-based learning
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment that meets safeguarding standards
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional and reflective early years team

• Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, BTEC, T-Level or equivalent)
• Recent and relevant experience working within the early years sector
• A secure understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
