We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated & experienced Resistant Materials & Engineering Technician to join our busy and well-equipped Design Technology Department.

The candidate should have the ability to work alongside and support our DT (Resistant Materials/ Engineering) Teacher and students, in a positive and supportive way, assisting teaching and learning in lessons and possibly some after school activities. The role involves being an integral part of the Design Technology Department, maintaining the Resistant Materials/Engineering workshop, classroom, equipment and related materials, and preparing resources for lessons. We are a Good school who is striving for ‘Outstanding’ in our next Ofsted Inspection and are a successful, improving and ambitious school. Teaching and Learning is at the heart of everything we do, therefore, we are committed to high quality CPD for all staff.

Based in Rawtenstall, we are easily accessible, with good road links and a local bus station only a few minutes’ walk away.

This role would be perfectly suited to an enthusiastic graduate who is aspiring to make a career in education. The department is able to provide full training for the incoming candidate, although some experience would be beneficial it is not essential.
